Product details

The Sony FE 28-70mm F3.5-5.6 OSS is a lightweight full-frame zoom lens designed for everyday photography and video. Its versatile focal range covers wide-angle landscapes, travel scenes and group photos at 28mm, while the 70mm telephoto end is well suited to portraits, detail shots and closer subject framing.

Built-in Optical SteadyShot image stabilisation helps reduce camera shake when shooting handheld, supporting sharper photos and smoother video in lower-light conditions. The optical design combines aspherical and Extra-low Dispersion glass elements to control distortion, colour fringing and other common optical aberrations across the zoom range.

Weighing only 295g, the lens is compact enough for travel and everyday use while offering a dust- and moisture-resistant construction. When mounted on an APS-C Sony E-mount camera, it provides a useful 42–105mm equivalent focal range.
