Its 12.1MP back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor prioritises sensitivity, dynamic range and fast readout speed, while the powerful BIONZ XR processor delivers responsive performance, reduced rolling shutter and detailed footage across challenging lighting conditions.

The camera records 4K video at up to 120p with internal 10-bit 4:2:2 colour sampling, providing excellent flexibility for professional colour grading and slow-motion production. Support for S-Log3, S-Gamut3.Cine, HLG and 16-bit RAW output through full-size HDMI makes the A7S III suitable for documentaries, weddings, commercial productions, music videos and independent cinema.

Fast Hybrid AF with 759 phase-detection points, Real-time Tracking and Eye AF keeps subjects accurately focused during complex movement. Five-axis in-body stabilisation and Active Mode help produce smoother handheld footage, while the fully articulating touchscreen makes framing easier from almost any position.

Dual media slots accept both CFexpress Type A and UHS-II SD memory cards, providing flexible recording options and dependable backup workflows.
